Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients in a skilled nursing facilities with developmental disabilitites, special needs, memory care, and dementia care.
- Conduct patient assessments, diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, and prescribe medications as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health promotion, and management of chronic conditions.
- Utilize electronic medical record systems to document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records.
Requirements:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in [Mississippi].
- Master's degree in Nursing with specialization as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the relevant specialty areas
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
- Excellent clinical skills and ability to provide high-quality patient care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Knowledge of infection control practices and adherence to safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
