Construction Laborer

AP Contracting & Home Repair is a veteran-owned general contracting company serving Junction City, Manhattan, and surrounding areas. We specialize in residential remodeling, decks, fences, basement finishing, repairs, and general construction.

We’re looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to join our company. This position involves a wide variety of construction projects, so applicants should be willing to learn, take direction, and perform different tasks depending on the job.

Responsibilities

• Assist with framing, decks, fences, remodeling, drywall, flooring, and general carpentry
• Safely operate hand tools and power tools
• Measure, cut, and install construction materials accurately
• Assist with demolition, material handling, and jobsite preparation
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites
• Complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision once properly trained
• Perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions

Qualifications

• Construction experience preferred but not required
• Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and measuring tapes
• Reliable transportation to and from jobsites
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently
• Willingness to learn new skills and take on different responsibilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small crew
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail

Additional Information

We’re a small company, and reliability, honesty, and quality workmanship are extremely important. We’re looking for somebody who takes their work seriously and wants an opportunity to develop their construction skills.

Applicants will begin with a paid introductory period of approximately two weeks to evaluate their skills, reliability, and overall fit for the position.

Pay will depend on experience and demonstrated abilities.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
