Aon is hiring for a Growth Operations Analyst – Virtual!
As a key member of our Planning and Reporting team, you will partner with cross-solution line commercial leaders, North American Growth Operations teammates, Finance, Data & Analytics, and other Operations teams.

What the day will look like:
Streamlined Reporting
Growth Operations’ primary objective is to improve sales efficiency and drive top-line growth. This means balancing the need for in-demand reporting (ad-hoc and manual deliverables) and pushing for more systemization and consistency (dashboard improvements and trainings).
- Create new automated reporting, improve existing automated processes, and reliably complete ongoing weekly/monthly/quarterly report ownership for offices, industries, and solution lines.
- Develop improved methods of reporting; this includes Excel macro-enabled automation, SQL queries, dashboard enhancements, source data manipulation, database cleanup, etc
- Identify areas of data deficiency and drive continual improvement for more “leading indicator”-based reporting.
- Quick turnaround on executive requests – minimal context and details are often provided on such requests, so a successful analyst will be able to quickly anticipate the bigger picture, identify the appropriate data sources, and present the insights from the analysis in a clean and concise manner.
Growth Planning and Coordination –
Partner with the NA Growth Planning Leader, CCO, National Sales Leader, Solution Line Leaders, and local sales leaders to create and execute on an Aon United Growth Plan.
- Prepare materials for and participate in planning sessions with Sales Leadership and Solution Line leaders to identify regional Growth Priorities.
- Partner with growth priority owners to develop their go-to-market plan (collaborating with Marketing and Sales Enablement) and assist in target-setting, named account campaigning, and ongoing sales operations support.
- Report outcomes to sales leadership in order to identify gaps and ways to overcome them, market by market and LOB by LOB.
- Growth Plan Execution – act as a connection between product leaders and geography leaders to ensure accountability on growth plans is maintained.
- Develop a strong Aon IQ in order to increase your credibility and effectiveness when engaging with leaders.
- Become an expert in the data and the CRM system in order to enhance reliability and leading indications of reporting.
- Partner effectively with the Regional Sales Operations Team and the New Business Analyst network to drive change consistently on a regional scale.
Key Resource for Growth Operations Tools –
Coach colleagues on how to effectively utilize tools to be more efficient and effective in growing the business.
- Ensure that toolsare optimized and appropriately communicated to meet the needs of the business.
- Leverage and share the insights and efficiency of internally developedSales Tools (Heat Map, LMP, Cross Sell, AID, Growth Planning Tool).
Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Passionate self-starter who can juggle multiple projects, follow-up and exhibit creative problem solving – ultimately delivering projects and assignments on target and on time within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong ability to work closely with various cross functional groups, specifically with the Chief Commercial Officer, National Sales Leader, Regional/Resident Sales Directors, Solution Line Leaders, Industry Leaders and Regional Sales Operations Team.
- Excellent Excel skills, SQL proficiency a strong plus, familiarity with Customer Relationship Management Systems (CRM)
- Strong technical and analytical skills, with the ability to extract, cleanse, manipulate, and analyze large, imperfect datasets.
- A creative thinker who brings innovative ideas, new perspectives and a wealth of enthusiasm
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills and relationship skills
- Process-oriented person who can provide a clear, complete analysis with confidence and reliability.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in in Business or related major, and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or related formal training

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $75,000 to $95,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
