Our national multi-family management company seeks an Assistant Payroll Administrator with a "Whatever It Takes" attitude to facilitate Payroll Administration for the company. This will be achieved by working closely with hiring managers to assess their needs. Will be responsible for supporting the Payroll Specialist with new hire, transfer, promotion and separation data entry, payroll batch import, file management and other payroll functions.

Essential Functions
- Reconcile 401k contribution and process payment after each Payroll run.
- Complete all VOE within 48 hours of receiving.
- Assist in processing bi-weekly and off cycle payroll.
- Primary backup for Payroll Specialist.
- Responsible for data entry of new hires, transfers, promotion, separations/changes within the payroll software and reconciliation of PTO balances.
- Assist in creating commission batch uploads.
- Audit Payroll to ensure compliance
- Provide excellent customer service to all employees.
- Maintain personnel files after each payroll run.
- Assist in new acquisitions (takeovers) which would include onboarding and benefit enrollment.
Qualifications:
- Will have contact with all employees, therefore, must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and knowledge/experience using payroll software.
- Ability to work with limited supervision and be able to multi-task are key components of this role.
- Demonstrated ability to read, write and communicate effectively to employees and all levels of management.
- Meticulous attention to detail and follow-through; perform tasks with high degree of accuracy and efficiency
- Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to successfully manage competing priorities, keeping constant sight of the overall objectives
- High degree of maturity and professionalism at all times
- Ability to exercise judgment in managing confidential or sensitive information

- High school diploma or equivalent
- College Degree preferred (not required)
