What are the responsibilities and job description for the 3rd Grade Teacher position at Aod?
All Saints Catholic School is seeking a third grade teacher committed to the mission of Catholic education. Rooted in our mission to help students grow in mind, body, and spirit, we are looking for an educator who will inspire young learners both academically and spiritually in a nurturing, Christ-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and live out the mission and vision of All Saints by promoting the Catholic faith and teachings of the Church; witness your faith through example in daily interactions.
- Design and deliver dynamic, developmentally appropriate lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and engage second grade students in their academic, moral, and spiritual growth.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly; provide timely feedback to students, families, and administration.
- Create a welcoming, inclusive, and structured classroom that fosters learning, joy, respect, and a love for God and others.
- Work closely with fellow teachers and staff to support school-wide events, liturgies, service projects, and activities that reflect our Catholic identity.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and faith formation to stay current in educational best practices and spiritual leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate
- Catechist Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Demonstrated ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Completion of the Protecting God’s Children training (or willingness to complete prior to start)
