What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Academic Coach position at AOC?
We’re a microschool/homeschool learning pod for homeschoolers, virtual learners and learners transitioning to non traditional education settings K-8th grade! We are looking for a Lead Academic Coach/teacher. Lead academic Coach will be responsible for lesson guidance and project base learning implementation for K-8th. Lead academic Coach must have knowledge of differentiating lessons as each class is a mixed grade group and abilities based academic model.
- We provide individual learning path guidance
- Small academic coach to learner ratios
- Creative hands on and STEAM based learning
- Lead academic coach responsible for monitoring and supporting learners within the second grade/third grade learning pod.
- Provide support to learners guiding them through their academic work and online work when needed.
- Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies.
- Support students in their literacy and math development.
- Collaborate with other academic coaches and aides to plan and implement engaging and age-appropriate activities.
-Collaborate with other lead Academic Coaches to implement engaging weekly enrichment days.

- Experience or knowledge in child development or education.
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and implement behavior management strategies.
- Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with the academic coaches and parents.
- Knowledge of math concepts for childhood development.
This contract position requires a passion for working with children, patience, and the ability to adapt to different learning styles.
