What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Nurse, Primary School (EX) position at AOB?
The Substitute Nurse will work closely with the school community to maintain a healthy environment. This temporary position will work approximately 30 hours per week for approximately 2 weeks.
Essential Functions
- Provide first aid, medical care, and emergency care services to students, faculty, and staff.
- Administer medications and treatments to students as ordered by students’ physicians.
- Assist in the collection and management of health forms.
- Create and maintain documentation of all encounters, assessments, and interventions.
- Serve as liaison between students, teachers and families in regard to health concerns.
Position Qualifications
- Current Maryland RN license - BSN preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
- Nursing experience in a high school setting.
- Current Red Cross or American Heart Association CPR/Basic Life Support certification.
- Ability to quickly and competently assess medical situations and escalate as needed.
Pay Range: $25.00, Hourly
