What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instructional Assistant, Kindergarten (NE)- School of the Cathedral, Baltimore MD position at AOB?
The Kindergarten Instructional Assistant will provide support to teachers in a classroom setting. This support can include tasks such as grading assignments, preparing materials for class, and providing one-on-one assistance to students who may need additional support.
Essential Functions
- Cultivate a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Prepare and organize age-appropriate materials and resources for students.
- Assist students with technology or other audio equipment.
- Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times and for classroom management.
- Ensures that arrival and dismissal procedures are conducted in a safe and orderly manner.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers, assistants, staff, and administration.
- Participate in all faculty meetings, retreats, school committees, and in-service learning opportunities as directed by administration.
- Communicate professionally and in a timely manner with school community.
Position Qualifications
- Minimum High School diploma and 90-hour childcare certification.
- Experience in a Catholic School setting preferred.
- Must have a commitment to Catholic School education.
- Practicing Catholic preferred.
Pay Rate: $25.00, Hourly
