Description
The Clinical Assistant (CA) works under the guidance of the Support Services Manager. This team member assists in receiving patients and serving as a liaison between the physician, patients and other staff members.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet every patient in an exam room
- Update the patients’ allergies, medications, HIPPA, surgical history, medical history with changes
- Address depression screening and go through PHQ survey if needed
- Relay any complaints, refill requests, etc. to the provider if needed
- Look at vitals, report any vital that is not WNL, make sure pain scale is charted
- FMLA/Disability paperwork
- Give vaccinations
- Specialty pharmacy prescriptions
- Chaperone for Provider
Requirements
*Candidates for this position are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19*
- 2 years Medical Assistant experience preferred
- Basic computer knowledge
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to comply with OSHA and HIPAA policies
- Ability to perform venipunctures, phlebotomies and other procedures preferred
- Exceptional customer service skills
Qualified CA candidates must be adept at multi-tasking, well organized, self-motivated, and have exceptional interpersonal skills.
