We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Network Administrator (Tier II) to join our dynamic IT team. We’re looking for a hands-on Systems & Network Administrator (Tier II) who enjoys solving real problems, supporting users, and keeping systems running smoothly across multiple client environments. This is a practical, day-to-day role. This is not a design-only or architecture position.


In this role, you will be responsible for managing and supporting complex network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability across diverse environments. Your expertise will help maintain seamless connectivity and safeguard our digital assets through advanced network support, troubleshooting, and system administration. Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier II support for network issues related to LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), and network security protocols such as IPsec and SSL.
  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot network devices including Cisco routers, switches, firewalls (Cisco ASA), Juniper devices, and Meraki equipment to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Manage and maintain network security systems such as Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine), IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), firewalls, and PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) to protect organizational data.
  • Implement and support network installation projects, including VLAN setup, load balancing, high availability configurations, and system hardening procedures across diverse operating systems like Windows, Linux distributions (Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS), openSUSE, Solaris, BSD variants, and macOS.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments using tools like SolarWinds or Splunk; perform regular system updates; apply patches; and develop scripts with PowerShell, Bash, Python or Ansible for automation.
  • Support virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere/ESXi and Citrix; manage SAN (Storage Area Network) configurations; optimize storage solutions; and ensure reliable backup/recovery processes.
  • Monitor network performance using PRTG or SolarWinds; troubleshoot routing protocols including OSPF, BGP, EIGRP; configure DNS, DHCP services; implement network policies via GPOs; and support remote access solutions like SSH, SFTP, RDP.
  • Assist in developing disaster recovery plans aligned with ITIL best practices; participate in SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) processes for network-related projects; contribute to documentation of architecture diagrams and procedures.


Requirements

  • Proven experience in computer networking with a strong understanding of routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP; TCP/IP stack; VLANs; VPN technologies including IPsec; DNS/DHCP management; and network protocols.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Cisco networking equipment including routers, switches, ASA firewalls; familiarity with Juniper devices is a plus.
  • Expertise in managing enterprise security tools like Cisco ISE; implementing network hardening measures; performing vulnerability assessments; configuring encryption protocols such as SSL/TLS.
  • Experience supporting various operating systems including Windows Server environments (Active Directory), Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS), UNIX variants (Solaris/BSD), macOS.
  • Skilled in virtualization technologies like VMware vSphere/ESXi or Citrix XenServer; proficient with SAN/NAS storage solutions.
  • Strong scripting abilities using PowerShell, Bash shell scripting or Python for automation tasks in DevOps environments.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is desirable for supporting hybrid infrastructure models.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex network issues quickly and effectively.
