We are a full‑service title, settlement, underwriting, and vendor‑management services company supporting real estate companies, affinity groups, corporations, and financial institutions across residential and commercial transactions. Our Arkansas & Kentucky operations continue to grow, and we are seeking an experienced Title Searcher / Abstractor to support our offices and deliver accurate, timely land‑record research.
Position Summary
The Title Searcher / Abstractor is responsible for researching Arkansas & Kentucky land records, judgment records, and tax data, then compiling this information into a clear, organized summary report for review by the Title Examiner. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and comfort navigating both online county systems and in‑person courthouse environments.
Key Responsibilities
Processing & Research
- Conduct abstracting searches at the appropriate Arkansas County Government Centers.
- Collect and verify real estate tax data for each parcel.
- Perform full tract searches to identify all documents and filings affecting a specific parcel.
- Conduct name searches for all parties involved in the transaction.
- Assemble abstracting research into a complete, chronological report for Examiner review.
- Complete all assigned orders within a 24–48 hour turnaround time. Retrieve documents online via web browser and, when necessary, travel to physical county offices throughout Arkansas.
Communication & Support
- Field calls from internal customers regarding search status or record availability.
- Assist production, closing, post‑closing, processors, and priority project teams with information related to county records and public filings.
- Use internal operating systems to track receipt, progress, and completion of abstracting orders and document requests.
- Support the Abstract Services Department by acting as a backup to open and process abstracting orders.
- Provide assistance with title commitment assembly and distribution (copies, mailing, and related clerical tasks). Perform additional administrative duties as assigned by the Manager to support production functions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Three to five years of title search or abstracting experience preferred.
- Arkansas title abstractor license preferred but not required.
- Strong computer skills and communication skills.
- Highly detail‑oriented, organized, self‑motivated, and able to work independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel to Arkansas county offices as needed.
