Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing diesel engines and vehicles. Candidates must hold a valid PA drivers license . Open availability is a must, as our business conducts 24/7 roadside assistance. Compensation can be negotiated based on skill level and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines and vehicles
- Diagnose and repair engine mechanical issues
- Conduct inspections to identify worn or damaged parts
- Complete repairs in a timely and efficient manner
- Test drive vehicles to ensure proper operation after repair
-Conduct roadside service calls on an on call basis
-Ability to repair and replace heavy duty truck and trailer tires in shop as well as roadside.
Skills:
- Proficient in soldering techniques
- Knowledge of hydraulics systems
- Ability to fabricate parts as needed
- Experience with heavy equipment operation
- Interpret and follow schematics and technical manuals
- Capable of heavy lifting and operating forklifts
- Background in automotive repair
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work on suspended vehicles
