Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented LP/NG Gas Technician to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on LP and NG equipment to ensure optimal operation and safety compliance
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment safely during installation, repair, or troubleshooting activities
- Monitor pipeline systems and distributed control systems (DCS) to detect issues or irregularities
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or electrical problems related to gas processing units or pipelines
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to manage automation processes and system controls
- Conduct safety checks, perform heavy lifting tasks, and adhere to all safety protocols during field operations
- Document maintenance activities, system performance data, and incident reports accurately for record-keeping
Requirements
- Proven experience with equipment repair within the oil & gas sector or related heavy industry
- Mechanical knowledge of pipelines, valves, compressors, and other gas processing equipment
- Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as cranes, forklifts, or excavators
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS) for automation management
- Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for measurements, calibrations, and troubleshooting tasks
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting and work in demanding outdoor environments
- Knowledge of safety standards specific to oil & gas operations and hazardous materials handling
Nice-to-have skills include experience with pipeline integrity assessments, advanced control system troubleshooting, or certifications in mechanical or electrical trades.
