Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Guard to uphold the safety and security of our premises. In this vital role, you will be responsible for monitoring the property, controlling access points, and ensuring a secure environment for staff, visitors, and assets. Your keen eye for surveillance, quick response to incidents, and adherence to security protocols will help maintain a safe and welcoming atmosphere. Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including buildings, parking areas, and surrounding grounds to detect suspicious activity or safety hazards.
• Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to oversee security footage and identify potential threats or breaches.
• Control access points using security systems, perform background checks on visitors or contractors, and verify identification to ensure authorized entry.
• Respond swiftly to emergencies by following established procedures for fire alarms, medical incidents, or security breaches; operate AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) and Taser devices as trained.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting any security issues, accidents, or unusual activities observed during shifts.
• Assist law enforcement agencies during investigations or incidents requiring external intervention.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging courteously with visitors and staff while maintaining a firm stance on security protocols.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in physical security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of surveillance technology including CCTV systems and access control systems.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or incident management.
• Certification in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED operation, and emergency response procedures.
• Skilled in conflict de-escalation and conflict management techniques to handle challenging situations professionally.
• Familiarity with security regulations, loss prevention strategies, and compliance standards relevant to physical security roles.
• Strong observational skills with attention to detail for patrolling duties and incident detection.
• Excellent communication skills for report writing and liaising with law enforcement or emergency responders.

Pay: $23.04 - $27.74 per hour
