SALES MANAGER: Anytime Fitness Farmington | Farmington, MI

Anytime Fitness Farmington is looking for a highly motivated, results-driven Sales Manager to join our team. This is a sales-focused leadership position for someone who is confident talking to people, comfortable asking for the sale, and motivated by hitting and exceeding goals.
Our ideal candidate is not someone who simply wants to work at a gym. We are looking for a proven salesperson who can consistently generate membership and personal training revenue while creating an exceptional experience for prospective and current members.

THE OPPORTUNITY
As our Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving new membership sales and personal training sales, managing leads from initial contact through enrollment, conducting fitness consultations, following up with prospects, and helping our team consistently achieve sales goals.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment and is motivated by performance-based compensation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Membership & Personal Training Sales
- Own and exceed monthly membership and personal training sales goals.
- Respond to and follow up with new leads through phone calls, text, email, and in-person communication.
- Conduct facility tours and sales consultations.
- Identify each prospect's goals, challenges, and motivation and recommend the appropriate membership and coaching solution.
- Present and sell personal training packages and coaching programs.
- Convert prospects into members and members into personal training clients.
- Follow up consistently with leads who have not yet purchased.
- Re-engage previous leads, former members, and current members who may benefit from additional coaching.
- Overcome objections and confidently ask for the sale.
- Track sales activity, appointments, follow-ups, and results.
- Maintain accurate records in club sales and management systems.
Sales Leadership
- Help establish and maintain a strong sales culture within the club.
- Lead by example through personal sales production.
- Help train and coach staff on sales techniques, lead follow-up, consultations, and closing.
- Monitor sales KPIs and hold yourself and team members accountable for results.
- Work with personal trainers to identify opportunities for additional training clients.
- Help develop strategies to increase membership and personal training revenue.
- Participate in sales meetings, staff meetings, promotions, and community outreach.
Member Experience & Club Operations
- Create a welcoming and energetic environment for members and guests.
- Build relationships with members and prospects and provide exceptional customer service.
- Welcome guests and assist with new-member appointments and onboarding.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, professional, and inviting facility.
- Assist with daily club operations as needed.
- Represent Anytime Fitness professionally within the community.
- Participate in local marketing, networking, referral, and community outreach opportunities.

REQUIRED / PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Required:
- Proven sales experience.
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales goals.
- Strong communication and closing skills.
- Ability to work in a performance-driven environment.
Preferred:
- 1 year of sales experience in fitness, health/wellness, membership sales, personal training, retail, hospitality, or another commission-based sales environment.
- Previous experience selling personal training or other fitness services.
- Previous leadership or sales management experience.
- Personal training certification or fitness industry experience is a plus, but not required for the right salesperson.
COMPENSATION
$18-$20 per hour uncapped commissions
