Any Lab Test Now® is looking for a dedicated, friendly, and detail-oriented Lab Service Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, providing exceptional customer service, and being part of a growing healthcare business that empowers individuals to Take Control of Their Health.
This is a part-time, in-person position with the opportunity for additional hours as the business grows.
About the Role
As a Lab Service Technician, you’ll be an important part of the customer experience - from greeting customers and answering questions to performing specimen collections and supporting daily lab operations. You’ll help customers better understand their lab testing options while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and a welcoming experience every step of the way.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant certification, or be actively pursuing certification
- Previous phlebotomy or medical assistant experience strongly preferred
- Excellent communication skills - in person, in writing, and over the phone
- Strong customer service skills with a warm, professional, and welcoming approach
- Confidence educating customers about lab testing options and helping them determine services that fit their needs
- Experience using technology, including electronic systems, lab ordering platforms, online portals, and basic troubleshooting
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a small team environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Reliability, dependability, and ownership of responsibilities
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Sales or healthcare customer service experience is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide an exceptional customer experience from check-in through completion of testing
- Greet customers, answer questions, and assist with the registration process
- Schedule appointments and manage customer information accurately
- Educate customers on available lab testing options based on their needs
- Perform venipuncture blood draws
- Collect urine, DNA, and other specimen samples
- Properly process specimens, including labeling, documentation, packaging, and preparation for transport
- Accurately process payments and record transactions
- Maintain customer confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines
- Communicate lab results to customers and healthcare partners as appropriate
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace
- Support daily operations and work collaboratively with the team
