We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Phlebotomist / Laboratory Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong laboratory procedures and patient service skills, with a focus on specimen collection and processing. Duties
- Perform venipuncture and blood sampling procedures accurately and efficiently to collect specimens from patients.
- Prepare and process laboratory specimens in accordance with established protocols, maintaining sample integrity.
- Assist in performing routine laboratory techniques and procedures under supervision, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Collect vital signs and relevant patient information to support accurate test results.
- Maintain a sterile environment using aseptic techniques during specimen collection and handling.
- Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and storage of specimens in compliance with laboratory policies.
- Provide exceptional patient care by addressing patient questions, explaining procedures clearly, and ensuring comfort throughout the process.
Skills
- Proficiency in laboratory procedures, techniques, and specimen handling.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to phlebotomy.
- Experience with venipuncture, blood sampling, and specimen processing in a clinical or hospital setting.
- Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
