Main Responsibilities:
- Job cost allocations and billing
- Assist in all month-end close process, including journal entry preparation, and account reconciliations
- Responsible for monthly bank reconciliations
- Assist in preparing audit schedules at year-end
- Demonstrates in depth knowledge of accounting principles
- Ability to efficiently work toward and consistently meet deadlines
- Perform special projects, other ad-hoc duties, as needed
- Maintain amortization & depreciation schedules
- 4-5 years of accounting experience
- Experience with Sage or Vista Viewpoint software
- Excellent reconciliation skills
- Prior work experience in the construction industry
- College Degree and/or Certification in Accounting
- Knowledge of general accounting principles and reporting requirements
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel
- Highly organized, energetic, focused, and detail oriented
- Self-directed with a high level of initiative and a 'can do' attitude
- Demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines
- Highly resourceful problem solver
- Ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
- Impeccable and concise communication and presentation skills
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Poised and mature attitude, always remaining calm under pressure

- Ability to work in an office environment

- Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; lift and/or move light weights
- Ability to maintain effective audio-visual discrimination and perception needed for making observations, communicating with others, reading, and writing, and operating office equipment
- Ability to use a telephone to communicate verbally and a keyboard to communicate through written means, to review information and enter/retrieve data
- Ability to see and read characters on a computer screen
- Ability to lift and carry cartons or packages weighing up to 20 pounds
