Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Windows Systems Administrator with strong experience managing and automating enterprise Windows environments. The ideal candidate will possess advanced skills in Windows Server administration, infrastructure automation using tools like Ansible or Terraform, and a proactive mindset to improve system reliability and efficiency. This role will be key in maintaining a secure, stable, and scalable infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and support Windows-based infrastructure, including Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and file/print services.
- Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions using Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, or equivalent tools.
- Manage patching, updates, and OS deployments in coordination with security and compliance policies.
- Monitor system performance, conduct root cause analysis of system issues, and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with Cloud, Security, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration and automation across hybrid environments.
- Document system configurations, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Implement backup/recovery solutions and perform routine system health checks.
- Assist in server provisioning and configuration for both on-prem and cloud workloads (Azure or AWS).
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to critical issues as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- 7 years of experience in Windows Server Administration in enterprise environments
- Strong scripting and automation skills with PowerShell; working knowledge of Ansible or Terraform is required
- Deep understanding of Active Directory, GPOs, and authentication protocols
- Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Familiarity with cloud environments such as Azure or AWS is a plus
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., SCOM, SolarWinds, Dynatrace) a plus
- Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSA/MCSE, Azure Administrator Associate) are preferred
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in CI/CD pipeline integration or working with DevOps practices
- Exposure to configuration management tools and version control systems (Git, Azure DevOps)
- Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring, compliance, and vulnerability management practices

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
