Location: Long Island City, New York 11101
We are currently seeking a full-time detail-oriented Payroll Administrator with experience in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with labor regulations, administer employee benefits, and maintain accurate payroll records. This position requires the candidate to be on-site Monday - Friday in Long Island City, Queens. Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of payroll experience (required)
- 1-3 years of payroll experience with labor unions and collective bargaining agreements (required)
- Experience with Microsoft Excel
- Familiar with the construction industry and local unions (preferred)
- Experience with Sage Timberline or CMiC (preferred)
Responsibilities for this position will consist of the following but are not limited to:
- Process payroll for ~500 employees, including labor union workers
- Process new hires, data entry, direct deposit etc.
- Set up garnishments, levies, child support, 401K deductions
- Prepare and pay garnishments weekly
- Maintain and recording the accumulation and use of vacation and sick days
- Resolve payroll discrepancies
- Prepare and pay weekly/quarterly payroll taxes
- Prepare certified payrolls
