What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Strategy & Ecosystem Partnerships position at Anuttacon?
About the Role
We're building the data foundation for next-generation AI models — and the quality of that foundation depends on who we know, what we can access, and how fast we can move. This role sits at the intersection of data intelligence, ecosystem development, and strategic negotiation. You'll be our eyes and ears in the global AI data landscape: identifying what's emerging, building relationships before we need them, and securing access to the datasets and data capabilities that give our models an edge.
This is not a procurement operations role. We're looking for someone with strong market instincts, a genuine network in the AI/data space, and the judgment to independently assess what's worth pursuing — and what isn't.
What You'll Do
Map and expand our ecosystem: Continuously scan the global AI data market — data vendors, research labs, annotation platforms, synthetic data providers, and adjacent players — to identify high-signal sources before they become commoditized
Drive strategic partnerships: Lead end-to-end partnership development, from initial outreach to commercial terms, with a focus on building durable relationships rather than transactional deals
Own the sourcing thesis: Develop and maintain a point of view on what data types, formats, and sources our modeling teams will need 6–18 months out, and translate that into a proactive sourcing roadmap
Be the bridge: Work closely with algorithm and data teams to deeply understand technical requirements, then translate those into vendor conversations that non-technical counterparts can actually deliver against
Negotiate with leverage: Structure deals that balance cost, exclusivity, quality, and IP risk — with the sophistication to handle complex licensing and compliance considerations across jurisdictions
Build institutional knowledge: Document market intelligence, vendor assessments, and deal structures in ways that make the whole team smarter over time
Who You Are
You have 5 years of experience in a role that required building external relationships and exercising independent judgment in the AI, data, or technology space — this could be venture/investment, ecosystem/partnership development, BD, research, or data strategy
You have genuine exposure to the global AI data ecosystem: you know which vendors are credible, which are repackaging others' work, and where the interesting new supply is coming from
You are fully fluent in English and comfortable leading negotiations, technical discussions, and executive conversations in English without support
You have strong commercial instincts — you can evaluate a dataset's value, structure a deal, and know when to walk away
You are a self-directed operator: you don't wait for a brief to start investigating, and you're comfortable with ambiguity
Salary : $15,000 - $250,000
