Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team at a reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will assist in providing high-quality dental care to patients while ensuring a comfortable and efficient experience.
Duties
- Support dentists during procedures by anticipating needs and handling instruments
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Take dental x-rays, including panoramic images
- Maintain proper patient records using Dentrix software
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions
- Knowledge of sterilization and disinfecting instruments following aseptic techniques
- Assist with various dental procedures including pediatric, general dentistry, extractions and endodontics
- Utilize knowledge of dental terminology to communicate effectively with the dental team

Qualifications
- Certification or diploma from an accredited Dental Assistant program preferred
- Radiology Certified
- Proficiency in assisting with various dental procedures
- Familiarity with Dentrix software is preferred
- Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
- Basic knowledge in general reception needs
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
