Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in various accounting principles and practices. This role will involve managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The accountant will play a crucial role in supporting our financial operations and providing insights that drive informed decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in timely manner.
- Conduct thorough account reconciliations, including balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Execute journal entries and maintain meticulous records of debits and credits.
- Process timecards, enter time, totals for the day.
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations.
- Enter Material amount with Invoice amount for receivable with job#.
- Knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Intuit Essential.
- Read and understand commercial contracts for approval.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred; relevant certifications are a plus (e.g., CPA).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks/Intuit
- Strong understanding of financial concepts including accrual accounting, double entry bookkeeping, and financial analysis.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate commercial account contracts.
