Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair various irrigation systems, including sprinkler heads, controllers, valves, and pumps
- Conduct regular inspections of irrigation infrastructure to identify leaks, blockages, or malfunctions
- Perform electrical diagnostics on irrigation equipment to ensure proper operation and safety compliance
- Adjust watering schedules based on soil science data, weather patterns, and landscape needs to optimize water efficiency
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery such as excavators for system installation or repairs
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including lawn care, planting, pruning, and soil management
- Collaborate with horticulture specialists to develop irrigation plans that support healthy plant growth and sustainable landscaping practices
Experience
- Proven experience working with irrigation systems, including installation and maintenance
- Mechanical knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems related to irrigation equipment
- Familiarity with soil science principles to inform watering strategies and landscape health
- Construction experience or hands-on work with heavy machinery like excavators is a plus
- Knowledge of landscaping techniques, lawn care practices, and general horticulture principles
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in various outdoor environments
- Prior experience in landscape maintenance or land management roles is highly desirable
