Gallery Sales Associate

We are an artist-owned gallery with three locations in Santa Fe, showcasing original works by a locally based artist. Our spaces are dynamic, welcoming, and rooted in the vibrant arts culture of Santa Fe.

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated, personable, and reliable part-time Gallery Salesperson to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with sales experience who enjoys working independently, engaging with clients, and contributing to a creative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and engage visitors, providing a warm and memorable gallery experience
• Educate clients about the artist, artwork, and available pieces
• Drive sales through personalized service and strong product knowledge
• Build and maintain relationships with collectors and prospective buyers
• Open and close the gallery as needed and manage day-to-day operations while working solo
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and visual presentation of the gallery
• Assist with inventory tracking and artwork management across locations
• Communicate with team members across all three gallery locations as needed

Qualifications

• Prior sales experience required (gallery or luxury retail experience a plus)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative
• Reliable, professional, and detail-oriented
• Interest in art and willingness to learn about the artist’s medium, work and story
• Comfortable working solo for extended periods

Compensation & Schedule

• $15/hour 7% commission on sales
• Part-time hours (flexible scheduling; weekend availability preferred)
