Service Manager – Industrial Weighing and Calibration Services

Location: Fort Wayne, IN

Are you a proven leader with a background in industrial service, repair, and/or calibration? Antibus Scales is seeking a Service Manager to oversee customer service operations and lead a team of skilled Service Technicians. In this role, you’ll coordinate service schedules, manage customer requests, and ensure our field teams deliver timely, high-quality service. The right candidate will have strong mechanical or electrical aptitude, leadership experience, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

As Service Manager, you will take ownership of the daily operations of the service department—balancing people, process, and performance. You’ll coach and develop technicians, manage scheduling through service software, oversee calibrations and repairs, and drive improvements in workflow efficiency and service delivery. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on leading teams, solving technical problems, and maintaining strong relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily service operations, including technician scheduling and field support
  • Provide technical assistance with troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of industrial weighing and measuring equipment
  • Manage customer service requests and ensure timely completion of preventative maintenance and repairs
  • Lead, train, and develop service technicians to achieve department goals
  • Resolve escalated customer issues and ensure service quality standards are met
  • Support ISO 17025 compliance and safety programs
  • Partner with sales staff to quote services, grow customer relationships, and expand service revenue
  • Track and report departmental metrics and performance

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade education preferred
  • 7 years of prior management or supervisory experience
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, or electronics knowledge
  • Proficient with PC-based scheduling and service management software
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record; must be willing to take service calls as needed

Preferred Experience

  • Industrial field service or calibration background
  • 15 years of experience in service management or related leadership role
