Role DescriptionSheek Solutions LLC is seeking experienced Audio Visual Technicians for contract event work in the Phoenix, Arizona area. This role is primarily onsite, with occasional remote communication or pre-production coordination when needed.
The AV Technician will assist with setup, operation, troubleshooting, and strike of audiovisual systems for live events. Responsibilities may include supporting audio, video, lighting, projection, video conferencing, screens, monitors, laptops, switchers, microphones, cable management, and general room readiness.
Technicians will work alongside project managers, show leads, production teams, venue staff, and clients to ensure professional event execution from load-in through strike.
Responsibilities- Set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot AV equipment for corporate and live events
- Support audio, video, lighting, projection, and video conferencing systems
- Assist with room sets, general sessions, breakout rooms, registration areas, and event spaces
- Run cables, test signal flow, confirm equipment functionality, and maintain clean work areas
- Communicate clearly with project managers, leads, clients, and production teams
- Support load-in, rehearsals, show operation, and strike as needed
- Maintain a professional appearance and client-facing attitude onsite
- Adapt quickly in fast-paced live event environments
- Previous experience as an AV Technician, Event Technician, Breakout Technician, or similar role
- Working knowledge of audio, video, projection, lighting, and basic signal flow
- Ability to troubleshoot common AV issues under pressure
- Experience with corporate meetings, conferences, hotels, venues, or live event production is preferred
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow direction while also working independently when needed
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license preferred
- Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, load-ins, and strikes
