Responsibilities
- Review patient route slips to confirm treatment
- Welcome and seat patients, making them comfortable prior to check up
- Update patient chart information such as health history and medication list
- Set up trays in preparation of procedures
- Pass instruments and mix materials for the dentist during procedures
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments, trays, and breakdown treatment rooms in accordance with safety standards
- Set up operatories based on patient procedure in accordance with safety standards
- Take dental X-rays, CBCT, BWX, etc. on patients
- Act as primary support to Dentists and EFDAs
- Submit cases to lab case manager
- Communicate and educate patients on procedures including pre/post op., etc.
- Maintain notes and patient record information in accordance with protocols and regulations
- Handoff patient to front desk with procedure information
- Create and schedule appointments
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Highly Preferred 1-year previous dental assistant experience
- Strong computer and data entry skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment
