Overview
We are seeking a hands-on, reliable Warehouse Operations Assistant to join our distribution center team. This role is primarily focused on day-to-day warehouse operations - picking, packing, receiving, and inventory handling - while also helping coordinate a small team and occasionally stepping in as a relief driver.
Duties
Warehouse Operations (Primary Focus)
● Receive, inspect, and process incoming inventory shipments
● Pick, pack, and prepare outbound orders for delivery to retail store locations
● Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely to move and store product
● Maintain accurate inventory counts and organized storage areas
● Ensure warehouse cleanliness, safety, and compliance with company procedures
Team Coordination
● Help coordinate the daily workflow of a team of approximately 4-10 warehouse staff
● Assist in assigning daily tasks and monitoring workflow to meet delivery schedules
● Help train new warehouse employees on procedures and safety protocols
● Flag day-to-day staffing issues to management as needed
Relief Driving
● Operate a box truck or cargo van to deliver product to retail store locations as needed (non-CDL vehicle)
● Plan efficient delivery routes when covering driving duties
● Perform basic pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
● Ensure safe and timely delivery of goods
Skills
● 1–2 years of warehouse experience required
● Forklift and pallet jack certification required (or willingness to obtain certification)
● Valid, non-CDL driver's license with a clean driving record
● Prior experience driving a box truck or similar cargo vehicle preferred
● Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets)
● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
● Prior experience helping coordinate or lead a small team preferred
● Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
● Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
Physical Requirements
● Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs
● Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
● Comfortable working in a warehouse environment (varying temperatures, forklift traffic, etc.)
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
