Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of kitchen exhaust hoods, ducts, fans, and fire suppression systems to identify potential issues or blockages.
- Perform detailed cleaning of grease buildup in exhaust systems using industry-approved methods and equipment.
- Repair or replace damaged components such as filters, fans, or ductwork to maintain optimal system performance.
- Ensure all work complies with local fire codes, safety regulations, and industry standards for commercial kitchen exhaust systems.
- Document all service activities accurately in maintenance logs and report any safety concerns or system deficiencies promptly
- Maintain tools and equipment in excellent condition to ensure efficient and safe job performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial kitchen exhaust cleaning a plus but will train
- Knowledge of fire suppression systems and relevant safety regulations is highly desirable.
- Ability to work safely at heights using ladders or scaffolding and handle heavy equipment with care.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose system issues effectively.
- Good physical stamina to perform manual cleaning tasks over extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to travel locally for service appointments.
- Certifications such as OSHA safety training or HVAC certifications are a plus but not mandatory.
