Anthem Health is seeking a Spanish-speaking Family Nurse Practitioner to provide primary care at a rural health clinic in Crystal City, Texas. This position offers physician collaboration, full-time or part-time opportunities, and an immediate start for a qualified candidate.
An overnight room is available for providers traveling from out of town.
Compensation and benefits
- $170,000–$180,000 per year.
- Benefits available after 90 days for full-time employees.
- Part-time opportunities available; part-time positions are not eligible for benefits.
- Overnight room provided for out-of-town providers who need to stay.
Responsibilities
- Provide family practice and primary care services to patients across the lifespan.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic conditions.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging.
- Prescribe medications within the applicable scope of practice and prescriptive authority.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
- Collaborate with Dr. Moreno and the clinic team.
- Communicate with and care for patients in English and Spanish.
Required qualifications
- Active Texas APRN licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner, or ability to obtain licensure before starting.
- National FNP certification through AANP or ANCC.
- Appropriate DEA registration and Texas Prescription Monitoring Program access, or ability to obtain promptly.
- Spanish fluency sufficient to provide clinical care.
- Ability to begin promptly once required credentials are in place.
- Comfort practicing in a rural clinic with physician collaboration.
Preferred experience
- Rural Health Clinic, Federally Qualified Health Center, or other rural or underserved primary care experience.
- Experience caring for Medicare and Medicaid patients.
