Antennas For Communications (AFC) is seeking applications for one full-time Engineer/Senior Engineer position in Electromagnetics Group at their facility in Ocala, Florida.
Requirements:
Applicant shall have a Graduate Degree in the field of RF/Microwave/Antenna Engineering. Ph.D in this field is desirable, but not required. He/she should be a United States Citizen/USA Permanent and should be willing to live in Ocala, Florida.
Job Description:
The ideal candidate for this position should have design and practical experience in the area of:
• Microwave components, antenna products, and radomes
• In-depth understanding of microwave network analysis and antenna theory
• Microwave antenna/component testing, waveguides, and experience in using microwave network analyzers and other microwave measurement instruments
• Antenna and radome Design
• In-depth understanding of dielectric material properties and dielectric constant testing. Familiarity with composite materials is desirable.
• Good understanding of wave propagation and attenuation effects
• Familiarity with anechoic chambers
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of scattering theory and S-parameter measurements. Understanding of space frame/sandwich radomes is preferred.
• Highly conversant with using Matlab/Mathematica as well as ability to understand and develop programming code.
• Familiarity with 3D EM analysis tools. Experience with EMPro is highly desirable.
• Technical support of manufacturing/QC/CAD department and continuous product improvement.
• Ability to communicate with the mechanical engineering
• Have social skills to be able to work in a Small Business environment
• Be able to clear background check with no prior convictions or arrests
• Past experience with any DoD projects is desirable
