Requirements / Qualifications
DEFINITION: Under supervision, perform duties relating to the installation, configuration, and support of the District’s Local Area Network (LAN), Wireless Area Network (WLAN), and Intranet systems.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Computer experience and basic knowledge of networking and video equipment. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of: Current video, multimedia and computer network technology. Ability to: Operate a variety of video, multimedia and networked computer equipment/devices; install and repair all computers; install, inspect, maintain and perform minor repairs to audio/visual equipment; learn quickly and maintain current knowledge with respect to new technologies; instruct others in the use and care of video, multimedia and computer equipment; understand and carry out oral and written instructions; maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
