Business Development Manager – Food Sector

Primary Responsibilities
- Achieve Sales Targets: Deliver or exceed annual revenue goals for the Food Division in North America (2026 target: $2,000,000).
- New Business Acquisition: Identify, cultivate, and secure new customers across the food manufacturing and processing sectors.
- Expand Existing Accounts: Leverage the current customer base to introduce and grow adoption of new FT System solutions, technologies, and services.
- Strengthen Market Presence: Create and pursue new business opportunities through direct sales, channel partners, strategic alliances, and industry networks.
- Collaborate with Regional Sales Teams: Partner closely with FT System North America regional sales managers to support their selling efforts and jointly achieve territory revenue objectives.
- Strategic Account Planning: Develop and execute sales strategies tailored to priority accounts, product lines, and target market segments within the food sector.
- Key Account Management: Maintain strong, long-term relationships with major customers, ensuring high satisfaction and repeat business.
- Voice of the Customer: Gather structured customer and market feedback to help refine product offerings, pricing, and sales strategies to increase penetration in the food market.
- Market & Competitive Awareness: Stay current on industry trends, Industry regulations, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
- Reporting & Administration: Prepare and submit required sales forecasts, activity reports, and administrative documentation accurately and on schedule.
Required Skills

- Proficient with Salesforce, Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years previous packaging inspection sales experience a plus but will consider other experience in related areas.
- Knowledge of food & beverage manufacturing and production
- BS or equivalent industry experience
