Job Summary

This candidate will serve a critical role in establishing and running cell-based assays to inform target biology, in addition to supporting translational biology efforts. This position is ideal for a talented, highly motivated and results driven individual who will thrive in a fast-paced, innovative, start-up environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Executing experiments to inform target biology using a variety of approaches, including cell line engineering, analysis of signaling pathways, and characterization of cell proliferation and death mechanism(s).
- Executing high throughput cell-based assays.
- Conducting mechanism of action studies on small molecule inhibitors (e.g. PD readouts by Western Blot)
- Genetic manipulation of cells utilizing knockdown or knockout and over-expression of proteins for target validation.
- Maintain high-quality, detailed experimental records within the ELN
- Use organizational and communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues across pharmacology and biology
- BS in Biology or a related field, with oncology experience preferred but not required.
- Relevant laboratory experience in industry or academia (e.g. summer internship)
- Experience with cell culture, assay implementation, and data processing with excellent scientific rigor
- Broad experience optimizing, running, and analyzing standard cellular assays (CTGlo, BrdU, HTRF, AlphaLISA)
- Experience using the following software preferred but not required: SnapGene, GraphPad Prism, Spotfire/Certara D360, Scinamic
- A highly engaged, self-starter who is creative, innovative, organized, communicative and possesses both a collaborative and goal/results-orientated style.
- Proficiency analyzing data with excel, prism and experience using an ELN system
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking team environment, while employing tact, patience, diplomacy and a collaborative spirit.
Salary : $60 - $65
