Leadership & Team Oversight

  • Oversee the daily activities of the Shipping and Receiving teams, including the Warehouse Lead, to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
  • Establish departmental priorities, assign responsibilities, monitor workload, and adjust staffing and resources to meet inbound, outbound, and production requirements.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, quality, and customer service.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on material flow, organization, inventory accuracy, space utilization, and warehouse efficiency.

Shipping & Receiving Operations

  • Ensure incoming materials are received, verified against packing lists and purchase orders, inspected for damage or discrepancies, and processed accurately.
  • Oversee shipping and freight operations, including packaging, labeling, bills of lading, documentation, carrier scheduling, shipment tracking, and customer requirements.
  • Ensure outgoing shipments are accurate, properly packaged, documented, and completed on time.
  • Ensure vendor returns and return material authorizations (RMAs) are properly documented, controlled, and coordinated.

Inventory & Material Control

  • Maintain inventory accuracy by ensuring receipts, issues, transfers, returns, location changes, kitting activity, and material transactions are recorded correctly in Visual Job Shop.
  • Coordinate the timely movement, staging, kitting, release, and delivery of materials between warehouse and production areas.
  • Lead cycle counts, inventory audits, variance investigations, and corrective actions in collaboration with Purchasing, Planning, Production, and Quality.
  • Ensure warehouse locations, kit quantities, material identification, and records are accurate and maintained.

Production Support

  • Coordinate with Production and Planning to ensure timely delivery of kits, components, stock requests, and packaging support needed to meet production schedules and customer commitments.
  • Monitor material shortages, shipment risks, and workflow constraints and communicate significant concerns to management and cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure completed-job material is counted, documented, and returned to the proper inventory location.

Safety & Compliance

  • Maintain a clean, organized, efficient, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, Quality Management System requirements, inventory controls, material-handling practices, and safety standards.
  • Promote safe work practices, address unsafe conditions promptly, and escalate significant safety concerns as appropriate.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Participate in departmental meetings, operational planning, and cross-functional coordination activities.
