Anta Electric, a rapidly growing Electronics Manufacturer located in Cedar Knolls, NJ is currently seeking a Lead Quality Inspector.

Job Overview
The Lead Quality Inspector is responsible for performing, coordinating, and overseeing
daily inspection activities to ensure products meet all customer, regulatory, and internal
quality requirements. This role serves as the primary resource for training, guidance, and
support to quality inspectors and acts as the liaison between production and quality
leadership to maintain consistent inspection performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections in accordance with drawings,

specifications, IPC/ISO standards, and customer requirements.

  • Verify workmanship, dimensions, documentation, and test results for completeness

and accuracy.

  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, BOMs, and inspection criteria.
  • Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) and ensure proper documentation per

customer specifications.

  • Assist with calibrations or verification of measuring devices when required.

Leadership & Training

  • Provide daily direction and guidance to quality inspectors, ensuring work is

completed accurately and on time.

  • Train new inspectors on inspection methods, documentation requirements, and

company standards.

  • Serve as subject-matter expert on IPC-A-620, workmanship expectations, and

quality processes.

  • Escalate quality concerns or production roadblocks to Quality Management.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Review and approve inspection records, traveler packets, NCRs, and associated

documentation.

  • Generate nonconformance reports (NCRs) and assist with containment, root cause

data collection, and corrective action input.

  • Maintain accurate and organized inspection files and electronic records.
  • Communicate defects, trends, and process gaps to Quality Management.

Process Improvement

  • Participate in internal audits, process audits, and layered process checks.
  • Identify opportunities for improving inspection practices, workflow,

documentation, and product quality.

  • Support corrective and preventive action activities.
  • Assist with PPAP, FAIR, or customer-required documentation as needed.

Cross-Functional Support

  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain to resolve quality

issues

  • Support customer or supplier visits, inspections, or audits
  • Help drive adherence to 5S and workplace organization with the Quality area

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience in quality inspection within manufacturing or electronics.
  • Strong understanding of drawings, specifications, and inspection tools (calipers,

micrometers, gauges, etc.).

  • Proficiency in IPC-A-620 standards.
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and train other inspectors.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in cable assemblies, harness manufacturing, electronics, or related

industries.

  • Familiarity with First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation and measurement

verification.

  • Experience with PPAP, control plans, and customer quality documentation (if

applicable)

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
