The Opportunity

We are a dynamic, 50-employee company looking for a versatile HR professional to own our people operations from end to end. If you thrive in a nimble environment where you can build relationships, streamline processes, and manage both the strategic and administrative sides of HR, this role is for you. Hybrid home/office work schedule after initial training period. International company with employees in multiple countries.

Key Responsibilities

• Payroll Administration: Manage end-to-end bi-weekly and monthly payroll processing for 50 employees.
• Full-Cycle HR: Oversee recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
• Benefits & Compliance: Administer health benefits, leaves of absence, and ensure CA labor law compliance.
• Culture & Engagement: Serve as a trusted advisor to staff and help drive team engagement.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience: 2–5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a small business or standalone capacity.
• Payroll Mastery: Proven hands-on experience running payroll on a Cloud platform (experience with Paylocity a plus).
• CA Law Expertise: Strong foundational knowledge of California wage-and-hour laws and HR compliance.
• Technical Skills: Strong information technology skills.
• Location: Based in the Los Angeles area with a reliable commute to our local office.
