If you love collaboration, creativity, and a fast-paced environment, we might just be your perfect match!WHY YOU’LL LOVE WORKING HERE- A supportive, dynamic, and innovative team culture.- Opportunities to attend industry events and showcase your skills.- A chance to directly shape the voice and vision of one of the industry’s fastest-growing firms.As our Hydrologic & Hydraulic (H&H) modeler, you’ll be joining our growing civil engineering team. The ideal candidate will collaborate with our multi-disciplinary team to develop a diverse range of renewable energy projects (PV, BESS, HV, Wind).Job Responsibilities:The role requires strong technical skills in event-based hydrologic analysis and floodplain management.The focus of the role will be utilizing US Army Corps of Engineering software (HEC-RAS & HEC-HMS) to model flood depth and scour depth in solar photovoltaic (PV) system layouts.Use QGIS to map publicly available data on the HUC watershed delineations, Land Use Land Cover, SSURGO soil maps, and National Water Information Systems.Incorporate site-specific LiDAR topography, existing hydraulic structures, and geotechnical investigations into the model.Develop automated processes for extracting and analyzing hydraulic results.Use QGIS to produce flood risk maps and exhibits.Coordinate with the civil and structural engineering teams to analyze the hydraulic performance of multiple design scenarios for value engineering.Perform analysis to demonstrate compliance with FEMA’s National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and local regulations: No-Rise Analysis, Compensatory Storage calculations, and Letter of Map Revision.Position Requirements:A bachelor’s degree in engineering is required; a master’s degree is preferred.Certified Floodplain Manager is a plus.Ability to create model workflows with RAS-Commander.Data science skills.Technical writing skills.4-8 years of experience.We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses. Salary : $80,200 - $99,500
