What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radio Frequency Engineer position at ANPC?
About the Company
ANPC is a global supplier of precision approach guidance and area surveillance solutions aimed at improving the safety and capacity of civil and military aviation for customers on all seven continents. Our transponder-based solutions are designed to serve airfields where others cannot. We are a team of extraordinary professionals working together to perform an important mission to uniquely serve airports with terrain, obstacles and other challenges that no other business can provide.
About the Role
As a Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer, you will serve as the technical leader responsible for anchoring a new Counter-Unmanned Aircraft System (cUAS) product line. You will act as the engineering anchor, driving multi-sensor integration and hardware/software fusion to bring advanced, marketable surveillance solutions to life.
Responsibilities
- Requirements & ConOps: Capture and translate Voice of Customer (VoC) and Business Development input into formal product requirements and Concepts of Operations (ConOps) for a new surveillance solution.
- Multi-Sensor Fusion: Lead the technical evaluation, selection, and integration of complex sensor suites—including radar, optics, and multi-layered tracking software—into a cohesive system architecture.
- Radar Optimization: Configure, calibrate, and precisely tune primary radar systems to maximize target detection and optimize signal processing performance.
- Antenna Modernization: Manage the technical evolution and design transition to advanced antenna systems and electrical beamforming capabilities.
- Productization: Drive the formal engineering development, testing, and scaling phase for newly demonstrated system capabilities.
- Simulation & Analysis: Conduct rigorous product performance analysis, modeling, and validation utilizing advanced simulation tools to predict real-world efficacy.
- Feasibility Studies: Investigate and analyze complex integration pathways between proprietary transponder landing platforms and complementary radar/sensor systems.
- Field Demonstrations: Support and execute live customer demonstrations at our local airport and various global customer sites, including international travel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering discipline such as Electrical Engineering, Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, Systems or Computer Engineering.
