What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Development Specialist position at ANOTHER WAY, INC?
Another Way is seeking a part-time Business Development Specialist to work alongside our Executive Director in supporting a unique, community-based resource center serving individuals who seek an alternative to the traditional mental health system of care. We are a sanctuary for survivors and work with those experiencing homelessness and social isolation. Our center provides a welcoming daytime space where people can connect with others, share a meal, take a shower, store belongings, access support — including healing circles— and build community. We are looking for someone who is organized, resourceful, compassionate, and comfortable working in a highly collaborative, peer-oriented environment.
The ideal candidate will bring strong administrative and problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently while supporting a small nonprofit’s day-to-day operations. Responsibilities may include office administration, communication, record-keeping, basic bookkeeping and financial tracking, project coordination, and assisting the Executive Director with organizational needs as they arise. This position is 16 hours per week at $25 per hour. There is potential for growth of this position.
