Director of Education Programs
Join Another Source in our mission to inspire ocean conservation and make a lasting impact as the Director of Education Programs at Monterey Bay Aquarium.
This exciting opportunity allows you to enhance educational programs, captivate students, teachers, adults, and children while providing valuable support to a dedicated team of enthusiastic educators.
You will have the chance to collaborate with Education Operations and staff to ensure equitable service to school audiences, ensure physical and emotional safety of youth participants, co-lead the development and execution of the strategic plan, and create a work culture of equity and accountability.
In this role, you will also coach staff in their professional development goals, recruit new staff members, and effectively communicate the education department's vision, strategic plan, and annual work plan.

Responsibilities:
- Develop a clear vision and direction for delivery-heavy Education Program Areas (e.g., Youth Programs, Field Trip Programs)
- Oversight of team performance, creating a positive culture of accountability
- Oversight of the creation and implementation of annual work plans for Program Areas
- Development and implementation of systems to support the physical and emotional safety of all youth and adult participants, both on-site and in the field
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, experience in program development and implementation, and a passion for ocean conservation.
