Job Description
We are looking for caring and compassionate VPK teacher to join our team.
The teacher will be responsible for creating lessons for the week, teach curriculum, as well as be responsible for general classroom management and supervision, which includes the personal care and hygiene of the group of 11 children. Our teachers are required to create a safe, fun, and nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
Additional Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe, happy, and stimulating environment for children.
- Partner with parents to provide the best care and education for their children.
- Meet Center’s mission, vision, and philosophy.
- Ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines and implementing all company standards.
- Assess each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis.
- Plan with the Director and implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule using the Center’s curriculum outlines and materials, with the unique needs of each child.
- Assist with serving snacks and meals, as well as feeding children.
- Coordinate naptime, and bathroom activities.
- Maintain a professional personal appearance, attitude, and work behavior.
- Perform other related duties as requested by Center Director or Owner.
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner with children, parents, and staff.
Required Skills and Experience:
- EXPERIENCE IN CHILD CARE IS A MUST
- CHILD DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE CERTIFICATION (CDA)
Additional Required Skills and Experience
- Must have a pleasant/friendly demeanor and love what they do.
- Must be able to lift 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of child safety, and potential emergency situations.
- Must meet all requirements stipulated by the state for this position.
- Highly professional and dependable.
- Clean criminal background and level II background check (local and federal).
- 2- years proven experience in the childcare industry.
- First Aid Card (preferred).
- CPR (preferred).
Pay Frequency
- Bi-weekly or Twice monthly
