Description
The Quality Engineer collaborates with operations, support functions and the customer to assure that desired product quality requirements are communicated and delivered. Coordinates and maintains MRB functions including, schedule, action items, follow-up activities and RCCA. Revises Procedures, WI’s, Forms and other quality related documentation to ensure procedures and instructions mirror actual practices. Performs ISO and NADCAP related internal audits. Hosts customer visits as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provides RMA (return material authorizations) through AANGS system at customers request.
- Enters corrective actions into AANGS system in response to customer returns, internal audit findings, external audit findings or other general quality related issues.
- Communicate with customers regarding product quality concerns.
- Active member on the Internal Audit Team.
- Lead MRB (Material Review Board) and follow up on actions required.
- Performs document revisions on procedures, work instructions and forms as needed. Participate in lean events and other cross-functional improvement teams.
- Participate in quality related customer visits (check ins, audits, surveys, instructional, etc.) Perform monthly line side audits in conjunction with operations and other support staff as needed
Requirements
Your Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Test Equipment Experience and Skill:
Basic understanding of Anoplate test equipment (profilometer, X-Ray, permascope, micrometer, bore gage, color meter, etc.)
Communication Skills:
Ability to communicate by email or phone with internal and external customers.
Quality Technical Skills:
Basic root cause analysis, problem solving skills (5 whys, fishbone, etc.)
Computer Skills:
Keyboard, Anoplate databases, Microsoft Excel, Word. Other Skills: Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide). Rudimentary blueprint reading.
Education/Experience:
A.A.S. Associate in applied sciences degree or experience in performing quality control functions in a manufacturing setting.
