Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Manager with Construction experience, to oversee and enhance our workplace safety programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety, and minimizing workplace hazards. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe environment for all employees while fostering continuous improvement in safety practices.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA regulations and company standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide training and development programs for employees on safety practices, emergency response, first aid, CPR, and OSHA standards.
- Manage workers' compensation claims and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Conduct root cause analysis on incidents to prevent future occurrences and improve overall safety performance.
- Prepare detailed reports on safety metrics, incidents, and compliance status for management review.
- Collaborate with various departments to promote environmental health and safety (EHS) initiatives across the organization.
- Stay updated on EPA regulations and ensure the company adheres to environmental standards.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers' compensation law, and occupational health practices.
- Proficiency in first aid and CPR certification is preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
- Excellent report writing skills to document findings, incidents, and recommendations effectively.
- Ability to conduct training sessions on safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Strong analytical skills for conducting root cause analysis of incidents.
- Effective communication skills to interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
