Following a recent multi-million-dollar investment in supply chain digitization and automation, we are seeking a technically strong leader to support production, quality, and customer-facing teams while driving continuous improvement across multiple manufacturing facilities.This role bridges engineering, quality, and customer support, ensuring technical standards are met, problems are solved quickly, and customer requirements are fulfilled with accuracy and consistency.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a technical liaison between production, quality, sales, and customersInterpret and communicate customer specifications and industry standards (ASTM, SAE, DIN, EN)Support and troubleshoot manufacturing processes including welding, cold drawing, heat treat, machining, and dimensional controlAssist customers with material performance questions, tolerances, testing requirements, and certificationsPrepare and review product certifications, mechanical test reports, and dimensional data packagesLead root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues and non-conforming productSupport new product development through feasibility reviews, trials, and process validationCollaborate with plant teams to improve process capability, consistency, and product qualityMaintain accurate technical documentation and compliance recordsStay current on evolving industry standards and emerging manufacturing technologiesLead and support continuous improvement initiatives across multiple facilities using data-driven methods, Lean, Six Sigma, automation, and digital manufacturing toolsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or equivalent3 years of experience in manufacturing or technical services within steel, tubing, or metal forming/stamping environments,Strong understanding of steel grades, mechanical propertiesWorking knowledge of standards such as ASTM AND SAE.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and inspection dataStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems (Oracle experience preferred)Comfortable working independently while collaborating across functions in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentPreferred Experience & SkillsMetallurgical testing and laboratory experienceLean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or structured problem-solving methodologiesQuality systems experience (ISO 9001, IATF 16949)Familiarity with CQI-9 Heat Treat and/or CQI-15 Welding assessmentsExperience implementing data-driven, standardized process improvements across multiple sitesID:qnkTyx
