Adult Basic Ed Literacy Assistant - Data Support
Location: Adult Education Center - Blaine Learning Lab, 1201 89th Ave NE, Suite 335, Blaine, MN 55434
Part-Time 12 months/217days/5 hours a day
Schedule: Monday - Friday, including a minimum of 3 evenings a month
Duties: Assist with academic assessments and placement for ABE learners in-person and online. Work independently processing paperwork/online forms. Answer telephones. Assist with scheduling testing. Send and respond to emails. Collect, review, and enter student data information into the program's database. Collaborate with the team. Support front office duties. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work on a team. Ability to be flexible and function well in a busy environment. Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day. Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds. Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions. Must be physically working in the building/on site.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in an ABE academic program with adults preferred. Experience working with diverse populations is preferred. Experience working in an academic, workforce, or school setting is preferred. Computer skills and data entry experience preferred. Experience with Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Forms, etc.) preferred.
Rate of pay: $18.91- $25.55/hour
