Adult Basic Literacy Assistant - Data
Part-Time 12 months/217 days/5 hours a day
Schedule: Monday through Friday days; 8:30am-1:30pm, with a minimum of 3 evenings (3:30pm-8:30pm) a month–typically falling on a Tues/Thurs–with an adjusted schedule to accommodate time change.
Location: Adult Education Center - Blaine Learning Lab, 1201 89th Ave NE, Suite 335, Blaine, MN 55434. Will include some travel to other Metro North consortium locations.
Duties: Assisting with organization and delivery of new-student intake. Technical set up and proctoring of academic assessments for ABE students, including ESL learners, in the areas of reading, math, language, and speaking. Assessments are provided in person and online. Collect, review, and enter student and volunteer data information into the program's databases and state databases. Manage and update monthly spreadsheets. Work independently processing daily duties. Answer telephones. Send and respond to emails. Support front office duties as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Strong communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple complex processes. Strong computer skills, data entry experience, and basic troubleshooting skills. Ability to work on a team. Ability to be flexible and function well in a busy environment. Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day. Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds. Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices, materials handling, data functions, and people functions. Must be physically working in the building/on site.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in an academic, workforce, ESL, or ABE program with adults preferred. Experience working with diverse populations is preferred. Experience in detailed, high-volume, data entry is preferred. Experience with Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Forms, etc.) preferred.
Rate of pay: $17.17-$23.72/hr
