- Collaborate with the principal to design, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive professional development plan aligned to the CRMS School Improvement Plan.
- Develop, manage, and lead both school-wide and personalized FLEX professional development opportunities throughout the school year.
- Facilitate and support tiered professional learning experiences, including workshops, coaching cycles, modeling, co-teaching, and instructional observations.
- Serve as a key instructional leader supporting the implementation of effective instructional strategies across content areas.
- Provide direct coaching to teachers focused on effective instructional practices and continuous improvement.
- Support teachers in implementing The Catalyst Approach for classroom management and student engagement.
- Model instructional and classroom management strategies through co-teaching and demonstration lessons.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with staff to support reflective practice and instructional growth.
- Support Collaborative Teams/PLCs in analyzing instructional effectiveness and student performance data (formal and informal).
- Guide teams in identifying appropriate interventions, extensions, scaffolds, and accommodations/modifications.
- Support staff use of assessment and data tools, including Mastery Manager, to inform instruction and monitor student progress.
- Serve as a member of the school leadership team, partnering with administration and department leaders to develop and implement the School Improvement Plan.
- Contribute to school-wide decision-making related to instruction, assessment, and professional learning.
- Support a shared vision for teaching and learning that promotes high expectations, engagement, and equity for all students.
- Collaborate with administration to support student placement decisions during grade-level transitions (5–6, 6–7, 7–8, and 8–9).
- Use data and professional judgment to support smooth transitions and appropriate instructional placement for students.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the principal in support of student learning and school improvement initiatives.

Coon Rapids Middle School is seeking a highly skilled and collaborative Achievement Coach to join our instructional leadership team for the 2026–2027 school year. The Achievement Coach works in close partnership with the principal, administrators, and department leaders to support high-quality instruction, meaningful professional learning, and improved student outcomes aligned to the School Improvement Plan.
This role focuses on professional development design and facilitation, direct teacher coaching, data-informed instructional support, and collaboration around student placement and transitions. The Achievement Coach plays a key role in strengthening Tier 1 instruction and supporting a culture of continuous growth for staff and students.

Start Date: 8/31/26. This position may be filled 7 days after the initial posting date by an appropriately licensed candidate (PELSB Tier 3 or Tier 4 license); or by a candidate eligible for PELSB Tier 1 or Tier 2 license, or OFP (Out of Field Permission) after a 15-day posting period.
