Job Title: Director of Child Care Support Services
Position Requirements:
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree from a four (4) year college or university; five (5) to ten (10) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certifications Required: None
Background Investigation Required: Search on NSOPW.
Knowledge: Knowledge of and interest in child care issues; child development; childcare options; knowledge of Anoka County. Knowledge of legislative operations in all levels of government with an understanding of the process and its effects on children’s issues including funding of Early Childhood programs.
Abilities: Ability to work independently, organize and manage complex projects, communicate effectively both orally and in writing to a diverse population, and an ability to effectively motivate and supervise community groups, employees, volunteers and policy makers.
Skills: Math and budgetary skills, public speaking, supervisory, computer, problem solving skills and managing people and resources.
Duties and Responsibilities:
To formulate and recommend, policies, procedures, appropriate actions to plan, develop, implement, promote and manage the child care development programs; to direct staff that all contractual requirements are assigned, implemented, and completed and reported to the Department of Human Service, and other funding sources in a time required by each funding source; to establish a biennium budget for the department, monitor it, and complete all required reports to the respective funding sources; supervise, coordinate, and review all department staff; oversee the child care assistance program, working with the supervisor to insure compliance to the rules and regulations of the program; assist CCA supervisor with CCA staffing issues and other issues that occur in the department; to work with the Minnesota Child Care Resource and Referral Network and the East Metro District Staff in the areas of child care legislation and committee work; coordinate the dissemination of information and advocacy of child care related issues to residents and community leaders of Anoka County; to assist with Regional grant management; to maintain quality customer service to all users of the child care support services of ACCAP. Establish and maintain strong marketing program for referral and related services. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Essential Job Functions:
Normal office procedures, able to lift and carry 30 pounds safely, sitting in a chair or standing for extended periods of time, repetitive upper body movement including twisting, turning, and utilizing arms, hands, and fingers on phone system, keyboarding, extended visual contact with computer monitors. Must be able to communicate effectively with clients and employees throughout building. Must have a valid driver’s license.

Pay: $32.93 - $36.22 per hour
